Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge and CAS(E) this Sketch #47

I'm sharing another card today that i made for my sister's friend who just got married.  I've known her since they went to middle school together.  I'm submitting this card to Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold, CAS(E) this Sketch #47, and SSS Wednesday.

I used PTI Boutique Borders: Love mini set.  I carefully inked the stamp to avoid the straight lines on the sides.  I also stamped them closely so they look like one single border stamp.  The gold embossing powder is also by PTI (love it!).  In many Asian cultures, red is considered a good color for wedding;  but I didn't want to make a red card, so i cut 2 strips of red card stock added as part of the borders.

Thanks again for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #47 and SSS Challenges

Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Today, I'm sharing a card that i made for CAS(E) this Sketch #47Sweet Stamp Shop, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenges.  I started out with stamping different colors on the Drops Background stamp by Sweet Stamp Shop.  Then i randomly added gemstones and Star Dust Stickles.  The sentiment is from the set Oh Happy Day by Avery Elle - my absolute favorite sentiment set yet!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a great week!

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!

For couple days,  I've been thinking of the The General Craft Supplies Challenge on Moxie Fab World.  Since we all have too much of general craft supplies, that becomes overwhelming.  I really couldn't narrow down which craft supplies I'd use :).  Then suddenly it clicked when i saw PTI September Wreath Blog Hop... I'd make a wreath card using Jute.

It took a bit more time wrapping the wreath (much more than i anticipated), but i do like the final product.  I use PTI rustic cream paper and the sentiment is from the new set Holiday Cheer.  The rolled flowers die is by MFT and made with felt.  Here's my card:

I'm also submitting this card to SSS Wednesday Challenge
Thank for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters Is Gold

Hello, how's your weekend going?

Exactly 6 months ago, we moved to South Carolina from Denver, Colorado.  Every weekend, we go to a different place in Charleston or surrounding cities.  There are so much to do, we barely finish a third of our to do list.  Today, we took our sons to see the Angel Oak tree on Johns Island.  The tree is believed to be around 400 - 500 years old.  I was in awe standing by this magnificent tree.  You can read more about it here.

Now back to sharing a card :).  I made this one for Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge.  The stripes are from PTI Super Stripes set.  I heat embossed the snow flakes with Ranger gold embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Happy Sentiments set.  I'm also linking this card to STAMPtember® Blog Hop

Thank you for visiting and hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

CASology: Silhouette and Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!

Today, I'm sharing with you a one layer card I made for CAS-ology: Silhouette and Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge.  This also fits this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Emboss It!!

For this card I masked off the bottom part of the stamp, heat embossed with Ranger's gold embossing powder.  After that, I masked the frame and distressed it with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Runway Inspired RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44

Hello, how's everyone doing?

It's hard to resist the gorgeous inspirational images from RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44.

I made the background using Black Soot distressed ink and the grid stamp by Waltzing Mouse called Off Beat Background.  First i die cut a circle on a piece of Eclipse masking tape, positioned it on a square card stock and mask off the top with post it note.  Next i distressed the partial circle with Black Soot ink, then stamp the grid with VersaMark and heat embossed it (recommend to heat set the ink before stamping, or in my case, i left to pick up the kiddos :)).  The butterflies are from Antique Flowers and Butterflies set by Sizzix & Hero Arts... i die cut and colored them with Copic markers Y19 and YR14.

Here's the final product:
