Paper Sweeties June 2015 Release Rewind!

Hello friend, and welcome back.  Today is Paper Sweeties Release Rewind.

I'm sharing a card that combines a new and a previous released stamp/die sets.  I immediately thought Island Time and Rainbows and Roses sets would work wonderfully together.  I started out by masking the bottom part of my card base and distressed the top part with Tumbled Glass.  Next i stamped the sun and rainbows using Antique Linen.  I wanted the lines to be very light and wouldn't show after coloring the images with Copics.  For the cloud, i stamped, fussy cut.  I decided to added foam tape on the side with stamped line, so my cloud looks cleaner.  I also added Wink of Stella on the cloud.  The sentiment finished up the look.

Please check out our DT for more beautiful inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties June 2015 Release Party!

Hello again and welcome to Paper Sweeties June Release Party!  All newly released products are available for purchase at the store.  Here are the list of our new products:
Today, I'm sharing a card made with the new set Island Time, and the sentiment was from Happy Everything and Hello Friend.  On a piece of masking tape, i die cut a circle and position the negative on my card base.  I also used a piece of painter tape to mask and create the horizon.  On the bottom of the circle i distressed with Salty Ocean, and the top with Wild Honey.  Without removing the masking tapes, i stamped the sun and colored it with Copics.  I created the shaker window using 2 circle die cuts and small piece of acetate.   Next I removed the masking tapes, put some sequins in the center of the round scene and adhered the shaker window over.  The coconut tree was stamped, colored with Copics and die cut using the coordinating die, then adhered over the shaker using foam tape.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment.

Paper Sweeties June 2015 Release Countdown!

Hello and welcome back!  Today we are counting down to Paper Sweeties June Release.

I made this card using the new set called Let's go to the Beach.  On a piece of watercolor paper, I first stamped the cloud, and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Next, i masked it and stamped my hot air balloon.  I also white embossed the hot air balloon.  I watercolored my cloud and hot air balloon.  For the wave, i stamped it with blue distress ink, then used a wet watercolor brush to soften the color.  The wet brush also pulled the color out from the wave line to create a gradient effect.  Lastly, i stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel on a blue card base.

Thanks so much, please come back tomorrow for the Release Party.  Don't forget to stop by other DT members' blog for more inspiration.

Paper Sweeties June Inspiration Challenge #32 - 'Party Time'

Hello and welcome to Paper Sweeties June Challenge #32!  For this challenge, i created a card to welcome my new neighbor that's moving in on June 1st.  I have yet met their family, but i heard they have a 6 year old boy.  My sons are excited to meet a new friend.

On my card, i used the colors on the inspiration, teal/green, yellow, and hot pink.  First, i stamped and white embossed the cat house.  Then with masking fluid, i covered the house, and created the background using Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Once done, i rubbed off the masking layer and colored the cat house.  Next, i die cut my grass, stamped and embossed "welcome".  My little kitty was colored using no-line watercoloring technique, fussy cut and adhered to the background along with die cut grass using foam tape.  I added few sequins to finish the look.

Thanks so much for stopping by and can't wait to see what you create this month!  Please click on the links below to see more creations from other DT members.
