You Brighten My Day

Hello friends,

Today's card is very simple.  I made this card using the following TAWS sets: Neener Neener, Wish BIG, and More Than Words.

First, I stamped a balloon, masked it and stamped the 2nd one.  I added the faces from Neener Neener, then colored them with Copics.  The balloon strings were hand-drawn.  Finally, I added the sentiment and clear sequins.  The sentiment was white embossed.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Hola! A Card by The Alley Way Stamps

Hello friends,

Today I'm sharing a card made with TAWS Cha Cha Cha stamp set.  First, I die cut several stitched stripes using Lil' Inker Designs' Stitched Mats die set.  Next I adhered them on my card base.  For the horse, I embossed it in gold and colored it with Copics.  After fussy cutting, I adhered my colorful horse on the stitched background using foam tape. For the final touches, I stamped the sentiment and added coordinating sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!

Paper Sweeties July 2015 Release Rewind!

Hello friend, and welcome back.  It's Paper Sweeties Release Rewind Day.

Today, I'm sharing a card that combines a new and a previous released stamp/die sets.  I am combining the new set Bee Happy with Happy Everything, Be Happy and Tree Of Life Add-on: Spring sets.

First, I stamped the butterflies from Bee Happy, and the outlined flowers from Tree Of Life Add-on: Spring.  Using Copic markers, i colored these images.  Next, I used a very light blue Copic and colored the background.  For the sentiment, i stamped and cut them in 3 separate banners and adhered them on my card using foam tape.  Because I stamped and colored directly on my card base, I had to add a white piece of paper on the back to conceal the Copic that soaked through.

Please check out our DT for more beautiful inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties July 2015 Release Countdown!

Hello and welcome back!  Today we are counting down to Paper Sweeties July 2015 Release.

For today's card, I used the stamp set called Bee Happy.  I started out with masking off the bottom part of the card base using painter tape.  For the leaves, i used Copic markers and no-line coloring technique.  I stamped the leaf image using Shabby Shutter distress ink.  Then I colored inside the leaves and over the stamped line.  Before removing the painter tape, I added some Tumbled Glass distress ink at the border.  Next, I stamped my lady bug on a piece of card stock, die cut it with matching die, and colored.  I adhered the lady bug over my leafy background.  Lastly, i stamped the sentiment.  The sentiment is by The Alley Way Stamps.

Thanks so much, please come back tomorrow for the Release Party.  Don't forget to stop by other DT members' blog for more inspiration.

Thank You Card Using TAWS Oh Splats

Hello friends,

Today, I'm sharing a "thanks" card using a set called Oh Splat by The Alley Way Stamps.  On a small piece of card stock, i randomly stamped the splatter images in different colors.  I also added Tumble Glass distress ink at the border.  Next, using the "thanks" die to cut the bottom edge of my panel.  This would become my top "thanks" layer.  I die cut the word "thanks" 3 more times and adhered under the top "thanks" layers to add dimension.  Finally, added my panel over a white card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

CAS-ual Friday - Guest Designing Day 3

Hello friends!

It is my 3rd day guest designing over at CAS-ual Friday Stamps Blog.  Today, I'm featuring the following stamp sets: Mon Ami, Zigs & Zags, Sassy Smiles, and Lovely Greetings

First card, I die cut a small panel using a stitched frame.  I masked the area in the middle, just big enough for the sentiment.  Next, I stamped the zigzag border in different colors to create the background.  Once done, I removed the mask, and stamped my sentiment from the set Sassy Smiles.  Finally, I adhered my panel over the card base using foam tape.

On my next card, i used Mon Ami and no line watercoloring technique.  I stamped the flower image on the watercolor paper using distress inks.  Then i colored in the lines with matching watercolors.  I die cut the watercolor panel and adhered on my card base.  For the sentiment, i curved it along the panel.

My last card is super simple.  I used the set Sassy Smiles.  I first stamped "Smile" with versamark then sprinkled it with different colors of embossing powder.  Used a heat gun to melt it, then stamped the next sentiment using Versafine in black.

Here are the stamp sets i used today.  Please check out CAS-ual Friday Stamps' website for more great products!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS-ual Friday - Guest Designing Day 2

Hello friends and welcome back!

Today is my 2nd day guest designing at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.  For today's cards, I'm using the following stamp sets and dies: Lovely GreetingsCasual Comfort, and Casual Trees Fri-dies

On the first card, I created the red background pattern using one of the stamps in Lovely Greetings.  Next I die cut the frame on that pattern.  I stamped the sentiment on the card base, and used the inner square of my frame to mask over the sentiment.  I created the textured background using white embossing paste and a stencil.  Then I immediately removed the mask.  Finally, I adhered my frame around the sentiment using foam tapes and added clear sequins.

On my next cards, I used Casual Comfort and Casual Trees Dies.  I embossed the trees in white, and die cut them.  Next, I masked the bottom of my card base, and distress the top part to make the gradient background.  Finally, i adhered the tree to the pink background, added some pearls and sentiment.

Close up look of tiny peals

On my last card, I'm using the same design as the 2nd one, except different distress ink background and sentiment to create a total different occasion.

Thank you so much for visiting, have a great day!  And here are the products I used on today's cards.

CAS-ual Friday Stamps - Guest Designing Day 1

Good morning friends,

I am super excited to be a Guest Designer at CAS-ual Friday Stamps for the next 3 days.  When I received the email invitation from Michele about a month ago, my heart skipped a beat.  I have been a fan of her challenge blog since i started blogging, and also become a fan when she starts designing her own stamps.  She is such an amazing and talented lady.

Today, I'm showcasing the Linked Fri-dies, the stamp sets called Mon Ami, and Sassy Smiles.

On my first card, I used Linked Fri-dies to cut several strips from Eclipse masking paper.  I temporarily adhered them on my card base then added color to the background using distress inks.  Next, removed the links (save them for the next card) and added the sentiment.  The sentiment was white embossed on black card stock and adhered on the card using foam tape.

On my 2nd card, I used the die cut links from my first card and adhered on the card base.  I added some glue, since the masking tape doesn't stick permanently.  The sentiment was also from Mon-Ami stamp set.

My next card is super simple.  I wanted to highlight the sentiment, so i created two strips of color using distress inks and masking technique.  Then I stamped the sentiment on top.

Here are the stamp sets and dies I used on my projects today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please click on the links to check out more fabulous products from CAS-sual Friday Stamps.
